Several years ago, I stumbled upon the enchanting world of art through the gentle strokes of Bob Ross’s paintbrush. His serene landscapes and cheerful demeanor ignited my creativity, propelling me into the colorful realm of painting. Armed with brushes, acrylic paints, and an insatiable curiosity, I embarked on a journey to bring my imagination to life on canvas.
However, the transition from Ross’s tranquil oil paintings to the vibrant world of acrylics posed a formidable challenge. Determined to refine my craft, I delved into a plethora of resources, from art books to online tutorials; I discovered a community of artists willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
Amidst the digital sea of creativity, two influential figures emerged: Cinnamon Cooney and her mother, the renowned acrylic artist Ginger Cook. Their guidance became my beacon, unraveling the complexities of color mixing, perspective, and brushwork. Ginger’s teachings, in particular, transformed my approach, enabling me to infuse depth and life into my creations. Through her mentorship, I learned to craft intricate branches and evoke the essence of nature on canvas.
Recently, I embraced the digital frontier of art with Corel Painter Software, integrating traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology. This new chapter in my artistic journey has opened doors to endless creative possibilities, allowing me to explore a dynamic interplay of colors, textures, and forms in ways I never thought possible.
It is a bit hard to believe, but I’ve sold nearly all of my paintings so far. Several of the paintings were from tutorials, and many were commissioned and original paintings. This website showcases only my original artwork, but I post pictures of all of my artwork, mainly on Facebook and some on Instagram so please follow me if you’d like to see more paintings and other projects.
I am happy to talk about commissioned requests and am also happy to answer any questions you may have about my paintings, prices, etc… So please don’t hesitate to reach out to me here or via my Facebook page.
